Women’s Business Council
On the 19thJuly Imran Rasul the Bae Group Procurement Director, attended an event run by the Women’s Business Council to celebrate the launch of two supportive toolkits designed particularly for organisations within the Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
This was to support greater gender diversity and build the talent pipeline by using metrics and through support for small organisations looking to inspire the next generation.
During the event Imran shared his thoughts on why STEM and diversity is so important to BAE as well as sharing the success of what BAE already does to engage with girls at school and the progress we have made to start bridging the gender gap already within BAE.
Anastasia Whittaker (BAE Ambassador) and Steve Crew (SME A&G Ambassador) were also invited to share their experiences of partnering together and engaging with a local primary school to run their first STEM activity to encourage the WBS attendees to use the guide in their own Supply Chains.
